Role/Job Title: Storage Engineering Lead
Function/ Department: Information Technology
Location: Navi Mumbai – Airoli Processing Centre (Gigaplex Office)
Job Summary: Storage Administrator – Information Technology
Key Responsibilities:
? Design, configure, develop, integrates, tests, implements, documents, and supports
the SAN infrastructure & ecosystem
? Responsible for applying patches, upgrading software, and making sure that data is
secured
? Responsible for monitoring the storage area network (SAN)
? Diagnose and troubleshoot storage related issues
? Maintain storage environment characteristics, including: physical array characteristics,
logical disk layout, standard configurations, storage network
? Develop and maintain procedures and working practices for the efficient and effective
running of all tasks associated with operating and controlling installed hardware and
software
? Perform tasks like snapshots, mirroring, dynamic tiering, non-destructive migrations
and RAID levels proficiently
? Monitor updates and upgrades of firmware, monitoring of volumes, IOPS, SAN and NAS
utilizations etc.
? Develop scripts and automation
? Drive incidents, Major incidents and review and derive RCAs. Track all actionable till
closure
? Perform User Access Management and familiar with Periodic Access Review Process.
? Perform tasks for Backup and Recovery Management including High Availability
? Perform a role of Leader during incident and guide teams in right direction for resolution
? Address technical queries, provide audit related data and explain concepts to Internal /
External auditors and Regulators
? Participate during DR / BCP Drills.
? Co-ordinate and lead vendor support teams
? Storage, NAS, Shared Drive Management, Proficient in Hitachi, NetApp, Dell EMC
storage technologies and Cisco, Brocade SAN Fabric technologies
? Advance knowledge of NAS, Share drive processes and able to drive the same on own
? Expertise in all types of migrations like BLOCK, NAS and Object etc.
? Highly skilled in SAN, NAS, S3, NFS, CIFS deployments
Education Qualification: Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Technology
(B.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Post-Graduation: Master of Science (M.Sc)
/Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
Experience:
• 10 – 15 years.
